College Librarian, Mr. Rhoel Rondilla, presenting the projects
The Office of the Dean held a meeting and workshop for its administrative team on July 29, 2016 at the Wellness Center, Palma Hall. The program, facilitated by Dean Grace H. Aguiling-Dalisay, PhD., lasted from 10:00 in the morning until 4:00 in the afternoon.
The meeting highlighted and featured the recognition of the librarians of the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP) Library, popularly known as the Main Library. This was the first time the CSSP Library was formally acknowledged as part of the administrative staff of the Office of the Dean.
College Librarian Rhoel Rondilla led the presentation of the mission-vision, organizational structure, and the rules and regulations of the CSSP library. He further informed the team of the projects undertaken by the library from 2013 to the present. These include exhibits, book drives, renovation of facilities, book fairs, the release of the first issue of the official library newsletter, CSSP Libe!, new acquisition of books, and other related extension programs in various public libraries and barangays around Metro Manila.
Earlier on, Dean Aguiling-Dalisay started off with a review of the college’s Haraya (Vision) 2020, key area results (KRA), and key performance indices (KPI). Two workshops based on a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis followed and extended for the duration of the day.
The first workshop on the internal strengths and weaknesses of the team was conducted in the morning and individually performed by each college officer. Meanwhile, the second workshop on the external opportunities and threats of the college was conducted in the afternoon and performed in groups.
